| (Jello-product kitchen drawer, right next to the sink, total necessity) |
Today is a very special day. Today marks the beginning of the phone project. Everyone has this problem, we see hilarious things, or just weird, or just great things. And we take a picture. But the problem is that they get lost, in our phones, never to be shown to anyone or laughed at. It's probably just because I forget about them, and my phone inconveniently makes me scroll through every single picture in order to find them. So then absolute GEMS, get lost.
For example, the woman that B and I house-sat for, felt the need to dedicate an entire drawer to jello products. Who would have guessed? Not me.

| (When you visit your Grandpa, and you're a pie extraordinaire, you make him a damn pie. It's a rule.) |
Or the photo of the young one at work (I work as a 'snack giver' at the most wonderful day-care in the world), who took a glorious grab at some treasure right in front of me. She was a little upset about her mother leaving her behind. This kid was like an upset adult in a child's body, she sat in the corner arms crossed, brows furrowed, and pigtails pointing high for the entire first hour of her stay.
These gems would have been lost without my dedication. I, am very much like an archaeologist, because want to bring the past back to life. Speaking of Anthropology, today I was taught the lesson, of how lucky I have been with lecturers. The TA lectured today on Archaeology, and after the third cartoon video with clipart illustrating her points, I was done.
Besides today being the beginning of my phone photo project, today was also a morning of new things for me! You are reading the words straight from the hands of the newest volunteer writing center tutor! Yay. It was actually a lot of fun to help kids learn write good,,,.;/.
In addition to that lovely hour of my day, we got to write translation poems in my English class. They are by far, one of the stupidest things I've ever done. I don't say that lightly, usually I can see some value in assignments even if I don't like them. But no, not this one.
Take the poem:
钱唐湖春行
孤山寺北贾亭西
水面初平云脚低
几处早莺争暖树
谁家新燕啄春泥
乱花渐欲迷人眼
浅草才能没马蹄
最爱湖东行不足
绿杨阴里白沙堤
Write a poem, that is similar to this poem. Do it. WHAT. It's in Chinese. I know, it's stupid.
Today the lovely D cooked for us a stew of carrots and beans and quinoa. It was great. Lots of health. It's amazing how much more amiable all of us women become once food is on the table. All of our mothers would be very proud.
Speaking of Mother's! I got a wonderful care package today, and when I mean wonderful I mean ridiculous. Most children get chocolate in the mail, and I just get butt ointment and a bandaid. Thanks mom. (To be fair, I did have a massive fight with a giant arachnid, and it happened to win, on my butt. It was a nice thought, but come on! Throw in a candy bar or something!)
The rest of today will be filled with going over to Brett's and accosting him for the state of his room.
Wonderful days, Wednesday's.
