Masculinity yeeeeaaaah

WELL. As I sat down to write yesterday, I had a whole list of things to talk about. It was going to be great. THEN, I got a wonderful little phone call. It seems my honey Br and his roommate Co had gotten picked up to hang out with one of Br's best friends from high school and were hanging out in Moscow. Then they decided to make legends out of themselves. They bought funions, water, and fritos as they braved the walk from Moscow, Idaho to Pullman, Washington. The voice of terror that spoke to me during the call mainly focused on how it was pitch dark, there were no street lights, they were in the middle of nowhere, and were facing death. I, being the "angel from heaven" (direct quote x10), picked them up and saved their lives.
Welcome to Moscow
So I don't know if you can see that, but that is Idaho. So I may have forgotten to blog yesterday, but I did do angelic work. Promise.

Today was a great day. There were a lot of life lessons that really popped up. First of all, because I have one dreadlock in my hair--I am rad. I am the coolest christian around, very rebellious. Second of all, manly men are the best. Today a bunch of the girls that I live with went to the Highland Games. It's like the hunger games except no deaths, no real battles, no gore, and no hunger. Basically it's just teams of men wearing kilts throwing shtuff. TONS OF STUFF. They threw logs and barrels and giant rocks. It was awesome.

This group got all of the men over, and the log back to the
starting place in 2 minutes and 13 seconds.
NOT GOOD ENOUGH.
(The winning team won with a 93second score, suck on that)

They had to throw those barrels, backwards over their heads. Some guys cleared the pegs, it was really cool to watch. But I also caught myself really minimizing what they were doing. OBVIOUSLY my muscles and I could kick their butts. TRUTH.

One of the highlights of my day was going to Ka's soccer game. She's on the WSU club team and she is their star player. It's so funny how once I know one person on the team, suddenly that person is all I'll watch. Obviously I'll watch the whole game, but really I'm just honing in on watching Ka. She is a powerhouse. She's amazing. Maybe I'm biased, but I think she could go to the pro's. I mean it. (But then again, to this day I still believe that my sister Cl could go and win American Idol.) She set up this beautiful goal today. It was great. The best part was her brother at the game! He's one of those yellers at games, but in a good way. I think I appreciated it more than the refs did. He was hilarious (and also one hundred percent right, the refs were NOT making good calls). The refs ignored the line judge when they raised it because the enemy stepped in as she threw the ball. They also were going to let it go that the goalie came out of the goalie box. NOT OKAY. KA deserve more than that. She really does. I get very into sports games, even if I'm big on participating in them.... I just think it's ridiculous that her brother got yelled at by the refs, because he was making all the calls that they should of been. JUST SAYING Ka deserves more.

PHONE PROJECT.

I found this picture of my beloved from last month. It was after his little sister destroyed him with love, or pillows, or both.

Well, it's been quite a day. From the Highland Games of Masculinity to the WSU club teams neck and neck almost win, to the girl I made sure was okay because she was sobbing down the street (she was okay, she just broke up with her boyfriend, she wanted something real, she loved babies and he hates them, deal breaker, loser) to Br and I's McDonald's date to Co throatily snapping at me at one in the morning. He just gets so snappy! It's been a great Saturday.
(ALSO, today signifies the first day of my birthday month. Birthday months are the best, they're full of anticipation and love.)
